Lake Boga is the northernmost lake in the Kerang Lakes System. Curlewis and Campbell settled at Lake Boga and formed the Lake Boga Station in 1846. Mr T.A. Browne (author of 'Robbery Under Arms' under pen name Rolf Bolderwood) took over the station in 1850.
Lake Boga is well known for its involvement in World War II as the No. 1 Flying Boga Repair Depot. After the war it was disbanded and any remaining aircrafts and fittings were sold as scrap.
The Lake Boga Lions Club reconstructed a Catalina flying boat which now on display at Lake Bogas' Catalina Park.
Lake Boga and nearby Lakes Charm and Kangaroo are popular for a variety of water-based activties. Swimming, sail-boarding, boating, fishing, water-skiing though Lake Boga has been dry twice during the current drought.
Watch the next annual yachting regatta at Easter time. Onshore attractions include St Andrews Winery, a restaurant and the Imperial Egg Gallery (at the Catalina Motel) which specialises in Faberge-style, decorated eggs, the History Room at the Commercial Hotel and the Flying Boat Museum. |

| Best's Wines Best's Wines, established in 1930 by the Thomson family, produces a large range of table wines and fortifieds.
The cellar door is open weekdays from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on Saturdays and public holidays. During long weekends only the winery opens on Sundays from 12.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. There are picnic facilities. They are 5 km off the Murray Valley Highway in Wilson Road. LAKE BOGA FLYING BOAT MUSEUM

Lake Boga part of the Kerang Lakes System is home to the famous Catalina Flying Boat A24-30- one of only four in Australia.
Lake Boga played an integral part in the allied defence of the South Pacific during World War II, with an ideal stretch of water on which the flying boats could alight.
The Communications Bunker still stands on the original site of the No. 1 Flying Boat Repair Depot. The Communication Bunker has now been transformed into the Flying Boat Museum.
Represented in the Museum are all types of Flying Boats that were serviced at Lake Boga, including Catalinas, Dorniers, Martin Mariners, Walrus, Kingfisher and Sunderland. Also special sections dedicated to the United States of America and Netherlands aircraft and crews that visited Lake Boga during World War II.
Fully air conditioned, The Flying Boat Museum is an education trip back into our recent History. The museum also houses an interactive map of the Pacfic region and an informative 20 film in the theatrette.
